OK, so it's not cool to admit it, but I'm soo darned over being single. I've done all my travelling and finding my spiritual self, and putting flowers on the table 'just for me'. But enough is enough. I need a partner. Preferably a guy who's into DIY and surfing or sailing, say, as my travelling destination has turned out to be a project house by the sea in Wales.
A bit about me - a close friend once described me as a female Columbo. She didn't mean that I wear a tatty raincoat and get mistaken for a tramp (necessarily), but that my sometimes unassuming exterior belies - well, maybe ingenuity, some sort of specialness - an ability to think deeply and provocatively and occasionally conjure up amazing white rabbits. I guess I'm looking for a partner who will understand and appreciate that elusive quality in me. (Although actually I do clean up well - long hair, slim - another friend assured me I was 'gorgeous' when I was sunkissed from my beach life last summer - but, ah, that's what friends are for).
So, I'm honest, very easy going, loving and kind and into active, outdoorsy things; slightly unconventional, with a green tinge - like, I prefer charity shops to chain stores - greener, more characterful and more fun.
Careerwise I'm a landscape architect and garden historian - but like to balance things by getting outside for some hands on gardening, etc. I'm into salsa (well, I try, but I'm just too darned British for all the really serious posing and wiggling stuff), singing and walking. I love live music, especially alt country.
I''m a bit on the quiet side, and so tend to prefer talkative, quietly confident men with lovely ''i''s - intelligent, inspired, idealistic, imaginative and with integrity. I''d love to find a soulmate to help build a dream together - a home, a garden, and to become part of a larger family - step grandmother sounds good to me.
