Hi, I enjoy exploring the countryside and being in nature, also the theatre, cinema, architecture and design. I walked part of the Camino a few years ago, and want to get back and do some more. I work as a psychotherapist and worked for many years as a specialist nurse in the drug and alcohol field in London,, running clinics in antenatal departments . Latterly I’ve worked in higher education treating students with a variety of mental heath difficulties. I have an unrealised ambition to build my own house, ( custom build rather than self build) which I’m working towards but it’s a slow and involved process and may take some time! I love village life, after spending 23 years in London, and a few years ago made the transition from living in a small city to a more rural lifestyle. I still get excited when I look out of the window in the morning and see trees and fields., rather than cars and people. I’m looking to meet someone with whom I can share some of my interests and develop a more intimate relationship. I’ve been vegan for over 3 years, not sure if that will be seen as a positive or negative but it’s become an important aspect of my life. I like trying out new plant based recipes and sometimes inventing dishes, which can be a bit variable in edibility. I also volunteer at an animal sanctuary and have got to know some amazing animals, each with very unique personalities and idiosyncrasies. I’m empathetic and compassionate and have a developing spirituality and I’m interested in meditation and mindfulness, which I use in my work. I’ve recently started practicing yoga regularly.
