I lead a busy life juggling work, family (I have a daughter and two grandchildren), and gardening as well as volunteering. But I love to go out for a drink with friends, I enjoy the cinema and look forward to the Proms every summer. I managed to get tickets for Wagner’s Ring Cycle last year, which was truly phenomenal.  I speak fairly fluent Spanish and enjoy holidays in Spain when I can get away. I would especially like to explore the Spanish cities on the plains - Segovia, Avila & Salamanca. But I’ll go by train, I don't fly. I feel I have had my fair share of flying, & I’m conscious of the environmental impact. For the same reason I don't own a car, but use the car club.
I recently joined a choir, and singing with the choir has been a revelation. I enjoy being out in the open air - be it country or seaside, walking or cycling. I like all kinds of music – from classical to blues to flamenco & I’m currently listening to a wonderful album by Jordi Savall of early middle eastern music. Another favourite is Cuban salsa - I have worked in the Caribbean and visited Cuba a few times. I guess you would call me a bit Green & a bit lefty.
& yes I watch telly – especially keen on the recent Scandinavian invasion of UK screens, but frankly there isn’t much that I find unmissable.
