Compassionate, caring, kind, self-aware, mature, open and curious, with a gentle sense of humour and easy going with many different types of people – well that’s what my friends tell me. Too good to be true? You will have to judge for yourself.
Open spaces, fresh air and scenery are there to be walked in - I haven’t yet found anywhere to displace Cornwall's coast from my heart. I also love where I live and enjoy sitting in my garden in its sunny and calm peacefulness. On my agenda are eating out, hanging out, and seeing films which are thought provoking and challenging as well as the feelgood type. I practice yoga, meditation and 5 rhythms dance and am enjoying this revelatory journey of enquiry.
A thread through my life is a passion for social justice and I have worked in the charity and overseas development sector in which I am now a researcher and teacher. I am privileged to have travelled: I have lived in Kenya and worked in and visited many parts of the developing world. My misadventures include building a water supply in a country that isn’t internationally recognised, an encounter with Somali pirates, and almost being flattened into the dust of the Okavango by buffalo.
