Petite, slim blonde (courtesy of hairdresser these days)/divorced (10 years now)/vegetarian (30 + years), going on vegan. Reasonably fit/active dog owner who walks quite a bit (as a result). Also like to ride horses when I get the chance ........ not so often these days. Love to dance/party whenever I get the chance. Love and value nature/countryside and am fortunate to live in an AONB area.
Like music of most kinds/some film (non-violent)/theatre. Loved war horse but my eyes were covered much of the time. Loved Ghandi but left the cinema feeling ashamed to be British. Loved Avatar...... triumph over evil.
I have many interests/concerns; current affairs/politics; human rights; animal/environmental rights and am something of an activist on all counts in terms of lobbying ...... adding my voice/signature - at least.
I found it utterly obscene that Britain flew flags at half-mast following the death of King Abdullah. I can understand the politics involved ....... since Saudi is a major buyer of arms with which it then supplies 'others' but by this action Britain was sanctioning the human rights abuses that occur in Saudi. I feel no less 'ashamed' of being British than I did when I watched Ghandi.
