Having grown up and lived most of my life in rural Devon, I love the countryside, and the sea. My favourite thing is cycling through the Devon lanes on a beautiful day. I also like walking but I love the freedom that cycling brings. I have a sticker on my bike(wearing off now) that says 'outside makes me happy inside' that is very much what I feel !
I like having my hands in the earth and enjoy growing my own vegetables.
I like feeling alive and swim in the river throughout the summer, and also love swimming in the sea.
Basically, I everything I enjoy is out there within the countryside .
I struggle with winter in England and definately intend to spend as much of it in future in warmer climes. I have discovered Helpx where you work in exchange for food and accomodation and spent time this winter in Spain and Portugal doing various tasks such as olive picking. For me it is the soution to the drearyness of winter!
