Im a kind & loyal in relationships as well as independent & tactile. I think that mutual trust, honesty & respect are important values. After being on my own for a while I would like to be in a romantic long-term relationship with the right person, someone special to journey through life with; a soul-mate would be great & I think you are out there.
I grew up in Denmark & have been in the UK most of the time since 1980, in the south west since 1987 & I love this part of the country. I have three adult children who have all flown the nest to have their own adventures.
I''m actively engaged in my local community & generally have a lot of initiative. I''m interested in walking- especially by the coast, dancing, reading - recently I have been reading Danish crime novels, spending time in my garden or on the field that I own with friends, being by the sea in all weather, flying kites, people being real, consciousness, deep-ecology, cooking - especially for others, listening to music, art exhibitions, being creative & the company of good friends.
I''m fairly sociable, enjoy the company of others & also like time on my own. At times I can be a bit shy & prefer smaller social groups as well as those special moments with that special person:-)
I''m hopeful about creating positive changes in the world & spirituality is important to me, but I don''t follow any particular path. One day I hope to live in a co-housing development & am active in a local group.
I''m mostly vegetarian (eat organic as much as possible), with the odd bit of fish especially if eating out, but I prefer home cooked food with good company. I drink the occasional glass of wine or cider.
I have a varied professional background ranging from social work to sustainability projects, one to one work & group facilitation.
There has to be a spark between us - that''s essential!!
What else am I looking for? Well, hard to describe, but here are a few words. You would be romantic & have a sense of humour as well as being loyal, open-minded & kindhearted. It would be nice to have someone to giggle with, drink hot cocoa, hold hands, walking in moon shadows, cold nights in by the fire, hot summer days in exciting places... the list is endless & all the more exciting when you are in love.
I think it''s important that both you & I are happy in ourselves & have an acceptance of both ourselves & each other. I''m not looking for a clone, just some commonality & mutual respect for each others interests, views etc.
An interest in environmental issues, spirituality (in it''s broadest terms) & healthy living would be great. Someone with whom to kindle a spark & enjoy those special moments perhaps in nature, out & about and at home in front of the fire. I also love the idea of romantic trips away in a camper-van, though I also like camping under canvas (I have a lovely bell tent) & staying in cosy cottages or luxurious hotels (city or country). So quite flexible really & maybe you are too?
