hi, Im Bob from west wales. living by the sea and enjoying the spectacular scenery from the coast and the water in my little sailing boat. Its amazing how useful it is to trawl through these pages and discover what my own passions really are. So basically i have realised that some things are actually really important to me and would be the foundation of any friendship that might result. I have a phrase that 'healthy is happy' which is a kind of golden rule and on that basis fresh air, exercise, good organic [preferably vegan] food and the benefits of alternative therapies to stimulate the healing path would be something I would need to share with a partner.
I am also passionate about music and all things natural which means low tech [ my work has involved energy efficiency], so the sound is the thing, i.e. beatiful music from beatiful instruments played in a conscious and peaceful way. I am addicted to a kind of buddhist meditation and deep breathing relaxation, but this tends to fluctuate with an equal commitment to justice, and activities which often involve conflict with the status quo. In this respect i would call myself a Gandhian, but equally an anarchist or Green man who revels in the androgenous shape shifting of the shamanic path. Bare feet in the wild gives me that grounding and connection to nature which i could not live without. On the other side stale air and hours of computer screens sounds like hell.
It occurred to me that one aspect of looking for a partner, or friends online is that it might diminish the effort to find local connections, and as i am passionate about my corner of this planet, it seems right to seek people who share that connection with this area, whatever that means. Apart from this, i really believe now after a number of failed attempts that things must start with friendship. We have to be committed to a shared path to enjoy the intimacy and openness of each others company.
If there is anything that resonates with you please get in touch as i wouldnt be here if my life was overflowing with exciting relationships. But don't be dissapointed if it doesn't work out, my trouble is i'm too 'heady' for most people; so beware that i sometimes find books more interesting than people.
