I have always had a passion for the great outdoors, and for science and discovery. I am known for my sense of humour, and when I'm not working on contracts for Geographic information systems I am a caricaturist. Regular activities include cycling, hiking, vegetable gardening, wine making and cooking. Socially I enjoy pubs and restaurants, karaoke and barbecues. I am not a nightclubber and have no interest in sport. I am not a fan of shallow, materialistic or trendy mainstream lifestyles.
I also enjoy debating on issues of social and environmental sustainability, and argue for the global transition into a new, technically sustainable socio-economic system. I hope to be able to help develop a new foundation to promote such a transition, showcasing the intelligent technologies that humanity needs to start using to allow us and our planet to thrive in the long term.

I am a life-long non-smoker, and would like to meet a like-minded, witty and intelligent lady with whom I can share my interests and values and enjoy an active life.
I am 6 feet tall, and would particularly like to meet a lady not too far from my own height.
I have a 7-year old son from a previous marriage and maintain regular contact with him. I like the idea of having another child in the future.
