Others describe me as calm but energetic. I have travelled quite widely in the past in Europe, Asia, North Africa and Down Under. It has been great to meet lots of lovely people along the way. Travelling has helped me to become sociable, confident, interested in others and hopefully open minded.
Like anyone's journey through life, there have been ups and downs, but mainly ups - perhaps a matter of perspective. I'm definitely not a big city person although I’ve done my fair share of urban living. I enjoy walking, sailing, sea kayaking, navigation and any water sport. I'm not interested in sports for competition, just enjoyment.
In the past I worked in the field of international development, but now semi retired I organise conservation work for volunteers, so I can benefit from being outdoors, having plenty of fresh air and exercise. I’ve got two daughters who have flown the nest and are working and living in Vienna and New Zealand.
It would be good to meet someone who likes to talk about everything and anything that is happening in the world. So do get in touch if you like new challenges and are open to ideas and enjoy the outdoors. I’m looking for someone who is happy with life and at peace with themself.
