I love nature and a walk or cycle in the local lanes or around the nearby woods gives me the perfect opportunirty to listen and watch out for those wonderful moments - a red kite whose huge and glorious wings catch the sunlight, the silence of short eared owls quartering the fields, and a young fox stopping for some minutes to check out this passing stranger. The natural world brings great joy to me and for many years now I have been involved in voluntary conservation work.
It would be wonderful to meet someone for whom caring for the world around us is an important concern, who loves birds and all wildlife too, and who seeks to live more sustainably and would like to create a garden that is a haven for wildlife, in which we grow our own vegetables, and keep hens that are safe from foxes. Yes, thereby hangs a tale...Not a happy one.
