A bit about me…
I’ve turned my hand to many different things in life which have been challenging at times, but has given me wisdom and grounding along the way enriching the already colourful tapestry of life. I spent around twenty years in the horticultural industry and ran my own company for thirteen of them and have a deep connection and empathy with the natural world around me. At the other end of the spectrum, I am qualified in mechanical engineering and restore classic motorbikes in my spare time. Different again, I’m quite creative and have been to art college in the distant past and have made quite a few artefacts recently. I’m very practical and do things thoroughly having virtually built a house. My mother once said, a man should have a son, build a house and plant a tree, I’ve done all three as I also have a son and a daughter that I’ve raised alone since they were toddlers (now 18 & 19). I teach people to drive but am looking to move away from that as I have just finished a seven year degree in counselling and psychotherapy having seen clients for the last two years as part of the course. I am also a spiritualist and am spiritually aware and have been for many years. I occasionally demonstrate mediumship in small groups which is a wonderful thing to do. It is endlessly fascinating that we are so much more than we appear to be. I am complex (in case you haven’t figured that out already!), but can also be light hearted and jovial too. If I visited a pub by choice it would be an ancient tumble-down place in the middle of nowhere with a log fire rather than a trendy bar. I’m not particularly clothes conscious as an old school teacher once said ‘it’s who you are not what you wear’ and I’m inclined to agree, as long as your hearts in the right place. My ideal home would be a detached old farm house in beautiful surroundings, with water close by preferably living off the land and off the grid. I am fairly easy going I’m told, but know my own mind. A friend of mine listed some personal attributes but if you’ve read this far and are interested enough to want to know more, perhaps I could exchange those later?
