HumaneHumanist
Status: 75 year old male seeking romance or friendship
Location: Norwich, Norfolk
Where to start? Well, my code name for this adventure says a good deal about me. HUMANE because I love animals and do not possess any at present (ok about others having a mutual bonding!). HUMANIST because I do not believe in any god nor gods as explanations for the universe in general, and our planet's convoluted history in particular. Getting this out first of all, I do have many positive passions in my life. Relatively new to Norwich, I'm getting to know the city & its environs mainly on foot & by bus, although I temporarily retain a car. Concerns about the environment & social/political issues has meant a gradual gravitation towards the Green Party. My emotional well-being has been helped over many years by becoming a co-counsellor. Health generally is good & enhanced by a combination of exercise and sensible eating. Other interests include: theatre (extending to occasional amateur acting); independent and world cinema; art and volunteering. My family consists of three adult children, one of whom has given us a delightful 1 year+ grandchild; marital status is very long-term separation.
Now seeking a mutually fulfilling female companion for friendship and more (!) theatre & film-going; dining out and in, etc. Do not wish to be overly restrictive so will focus on the most meaningful aspects for me is a mature, confident woman (preferably retired like me) who is dealing with inevitable emotional baggage; is concerned for her health and well-being, and is open to exploring a mutually beneficial / egalitarian relationship developing from the outset. Oh, and it would help that process if neither smoking nor drugs/alcohol featured any input AND at the very minimum, she has left-of-centre political views. My physical characteristics are just under 6', under 14 stone and diminishing that by the week, a full head of greying hair, and glasses for everything but reading! I will get to putting a picture or two here, but first want to consider having a blind date where appearances are quite secondary! Now the decision to await reacting, or perhaps,do a bit of proactive contacting without feeling obliged to go into male mode. I shall remain optimistic and move in ever-increasing circles, albeit London remains second to East Anglia in looking for a congenial companion.
