I enjoy walking in the countryside and by the coast, going to the theatre, cinema, art galleries and concerts (all of which are made more enjoyable by being shared); I read avidly, write, garden and listen to music.
I feel strongly about the environment, poverty, injustice and oppression. I became a vegetarian many years ago for ethical reasons and am now a vegan. I used to be active in politics but have become disillusioned over the past decade or so. I remain on the left, and green, and could possibly become more active with the right encouragement.
I have two adult sons and two lovely grandchildren. I have lived alone since my sons left home and though I am quite quiet, I make friends easily and have an active social life. My work keeps me sane, grounded and stimulated, but I would like something more from life.
I would like to meet someone who is kind, compassionate and caring.
