I have reached this stage in my life (now retired - oh bliss!) without a lot of baggage from previous chapters and have not quite given up hope of finding my soulmate who has eluded me thus far! I look forward to a peaceful and relaxing retirement, with some of it preferably shared with a like-minded companion who is equally animal-minded and who defends their rights.
I am fortunate to own my own home and to live in this lovely village in rural North Oxfordshire with my energetic lurcher. I enjoy our long walks and growing vegetables. I am a committed Vegan and as veganism is very important to me I run a small Vegan B&B at my home.
I enjoy feeding and watch the birds in my garden and love nature and wildlife and am passionate about living as ecologically as I can. I have adapted my house to run as efficiently as my budget would allow and go to great lengths to save water and electricity. Unfortunately I still run a car though and will explain that to anyone who is remotely interested! I am also active in the local Green Party branch. I am hoping to start doing pottery again soon (my kiln awaits!).
I am slim with brown/greying hair and keep pretty active. I have 2 sons who are both married, and I have 2 grandsons and 2 grand-daughters, though both the girls live with their parents in Canada. (Unfortunately this means I have to increase my carbon footprint once a year!)
My soulmate would be a committed Vegan or willing to work towards this lifestyle. Kind and caring and willing to compromise. Must like animals, dogs and walking, and with any luck, gardening and growing vegetables. Someone willing to accept me and my dog as we are and who is willing to share good times. Prefer slim build and I know it is not really logical, but someone my height or taller would be great!
