I'm an active professional man, who enjoys the outdoors. I'm a keen mountain biker, I enjoy high level mountain walking, via ferrata, kayaking and enjoy weekends away and trips indulging in these sports. Personality wise I am intelligent, fairly quiet (compared to a lot of people!), a bit shy and more of a thinker than a talker..
I would love to do more travelling with a likeminded companion however not much luck there yet.. I have been on other sites but don't find they suit my personality/interests. Having had a relative meet their partner on NF its worth giving it a go...
Other interests I have include reading (the likes of Terry Pratchett, CJ Sansom, Tom Holt etc), and music has always been important, I enjoy a wide range from folk to bluegrass to rock, and although don't play an instrument well, I am slowly attempting to learn mandolin. I like animals although don't own any.. I'd love a dog one day when its perhaps more practical.
I am very practical, fixing the car, bikes, gardening, I have renovated two houses now, the current one being in a small and quiet village in Shropshire and my current project which is very slowly progressing is to clear the corner of the garden and build a large shed for more hobbies, I've always fancied woodturning. I attempted to grow veg last year, although it took up so much time I didn't get too many weekends away. Spuds did reasonably, hundreds of tomatoes and runner beans, a couple of small pumpkins and not a lot else! I'm toying with the idea of a local allotment but not sure I can give it the time it needs as I spend a lot of time at work and the two days for a weekend are very short!
I admit to being regularly lonely and not being a loud, social animal, don't really meet likeminded women and would like to find a lovely partner before too long.
