Looking to meet new people after a challenging couple of years. New friends who share some interests, and potentially activities, would be really good - romance would be an added (and unexpected) bonus.
I'm mostly a quiet, reflective and sensitive person - not a great talker unless we have a lot in common or our sense of humours spark. I enjoy engaged conversation and laughter and have a pretty much ironic sense of humour. I eat fish but not meat, very rarely drink, watch TV only occasionally (Frasier and Foyle's War are exceptions!), and I love jazz especially latin jazz, and 70s soul. I write poems from time to time, like to dance away from onlookers, and to walk in woods and by water. I enjoy writing and would like to hear from other writers. I am currently trying to improve my French (I have an A level) and hope to go there to practise before long. I would especially like to visit Languedoc.
I don't have and never wanted children, but very happy to hook up with a partner's or friend's children. Would love to hear from other writers, poets, French speakers (or teachers!) cat lovers, organic food lovers, harmony singers, saxophonists and considerate and perceptive people generally!
