My father's day card read "...we know you're not everyone's cup of tea..." and it made me laugh so much and it made me realise that that's true and that I'm really so happy about that.
I've made attempts to escape the urban environment over the years with quite a lot of success, but for the time being I live back in the West Midlands, although I've got a woodland bolt-hole in Powys, where I enjoy the peace and quiet and learn about woodland management and try to improve biodiversity. I've lived abroad for 12 years in Japan and Germany, which gave me a different perspective on the UK, so in some matters I am very protective and proud of it and in others very critical.
I work in environmental protection
I am liberal in many ways but I won't jump on every woke bandwagon. I particularly dislike identity politics.
If that hasn't put you off, get in touch for a chat if you feel like it.
